Any art history buff will know the importance of Azurite in the classics. A copper based pigment, Azurite was the most commonly used blue pigment between the 15th and 17th centuries. It is, essentially, the blue cousin to malachite. We tested several grades of pigment and ultimately decided on the finest grade we could purchase which results in a very pure blue that is ALMOST Lapis but considerably more opaque.

While slightly less expensive than the highest grade Lapis, Azurite in its most pure form has become more rare. Our ring blanks in this pigment will be single poured and have a hollow center to conserve pigment and keep the price as low as possible.

A chameleon material, this blank is: from one angle gold ore; from another, silver ore; at a third, it is pyrite; and from another, it is all of these and more. Beautiful work, McKenzie Penworks. Great job guys. keep it up

So many words to describe this blank; dazzling, spectacular, brilliant, are just a few to start the list. I only wish we could post pictures so I could see what others have done with this and other Diamondcast products. Maybe server space won't allow it. Think about it anyway, Tim. ;-)
