World's First YInMn Cast Blanks!

Posted by Tim McKenzie on

Our monthly subscribers this month will be getting early access to the first blanks ever cast with the amazing YInMn pigment. This incredible blue pigment is the first inorganic blue pigment discovered in over 200 years. The name is actually a chemical symbol, as this color is derived from a mix of Yitrium, Indium, and Manganese.

While it's a difficult pigment to work with, our StateMix Vortex Mixer makes short work of ensuring it goes completely into the resin mix. The result is a blue that is so blue it partially reflects infrared. Look for a pre-order page soon but we'll be including these in the monthly boxes that ship on Aug. 15th and then we'll make them generally available Aug. 16th.
